DEVELOPMENT FUTSAL
Ages 6-11. Building the technical base with focus on ball control and spatial awareness in a fun environment.

THE FIRST STEP
Development Futsal is where young players fall in love with the game. Time on the ball builds control, spatial awareness, and the foundation of the Zego Method.
Training takes place November 2 through March 31 at Cadence Sports Center in a fun, high-energy environment where the emphasis is on learning, creativity, and confidence with the ball. Practice will be Monday – Friday 5:30PM – 7:00PM.
Registration covers the full indoor winter season on the same court where our national champions train.
WHO IT'S FOR
Development Futsal welcomes every young player ages 6-11 — from a first-ever touch on a futsal ball to advanced and elite players who want extra court time. Sessions are grouped by age and ability, so each child trains at the right pace.
BEGINNERS
A fun, pressure-free introduction. Players learn ball control, basic moves, and spatial awareness through games — every child touches the ball constantly and builds confidence from day one.
ADVANCED PLAYERS
Extra reps and a faster tempo for kids who already love the game. Sessions sharpen first touch, decision-making under pressure, and 1v1 creativity against peers of a similar level.
ELITE PLAYERS
A bridge toward Cadence's elite pathway. Young, advanced players train with the Zego Method — the same methodology that produced our national championship teams — while staying in an age-appropriate environment.

PARENT FAQ
What to expect from Development Futsal, by level.
What does my child need to bring?+
Purchase the practice jersey. Black shorts and socks. Futsal shoes are required. Bring a water bottle. Futsal balls and training equipment are provided by the facility.
My child has never played futsal. Is this the right program?+
Yes. Beginners get a fun, low-pressure introduction through simple games, constant ball contact, and age-appropriate coaching.
What should beginners expect in the first few weeks?+
Lots of touches on the ball and lots of smiles. Early sessions cover dribbling, stopping the ball, basic passing, and small-sided play — all indoors at Cadence Sports Center, so sessions never get rained or snowed out.
My child already plays at a high level. Will they be challenged?+
Advanced players ages 10-11 and elite players ages 6-9 train in a faster-tempo environment with more demanding drills: pressure situations, 1v1 and 2v2 creativity, and quick decision-making. Sessions are grouped so experienced players are pushed, not held back.
How does futsal help an advanced or elite young player improve?+
Futsal's smaller court and heavier ball mean far more touches per minute than outdoor play. Players learn to make decisions in tight spaces — the exact skill set behind the Zego Method that produced Cadence's 10+ national championship teams.
What ages can join?+
Beginner futsal players ages 6-11 can join. Advanced training is available for ages 10-11, and elite training for ages 6-9, with sessions grouped by age and ability.
When and where is practice?+
Practices run Monday through Friday, 5:30PM to 7:00PM, from November 2 through March 31 at Cadence Sports Center in Joliet, Illinois — a modern indoor facility built together with the club in 2017.
What does registration include?+
The full indoor winter season of training is included.
